We left Lecce this morning after a quick breakfast of cappuccino and rustico (savory) & maritozzo (sweet/cream) pastries. Also, it's the first time the weather has felt warm. It's been absolutely perfect this entire trip so far - 70s with cool breezes, convection clouds in the afternoons. Perfect. We're on the speed train to Bari now with a stop for lunch there.

Lovely evening trip to Alberobello!
Trullo houses were built to escape the tax man back in the day. Farmers could disassemble the top of the house whenever the tax man came around. :)
